Sam, known as Sammy to his friends, likes to think he was named after the famous Samwise Gamgee. It's not that he's particularly brave or has been on any great adventures, but he dearly loves gardening. He talks cheerfully to the bees and butterflies as he pulls weeds, turns over the soil, and encourages his vegetables to flourish. He's a born nurturer, and is just as good at knowing when a friend needs a hug as he is at discerning when a tomato plant could use a bit more water. If he has one flaw, it's his possessiveness over his potatoes.
