October 2024: We are taking a break to focus on some other aspects of life for a bit, and we're not accepting orders or checking email right now. We'll post an update when we're back! -N & B
Though it's an unusual hobby for a sea otter, especially one with such short paws, Tabitha dearly loves to knit. She finds that the typical sea otter posture (floating comfortably on one's back) is ideal for knitting, and an otter's under-arm pouches are perfect for storing extra balls of homespun kelp yarn. She has gotten quite good at knitting flipper slippers, which are becoming a favorite accessory among her otter friends. Though she quite likes brown and green, she is working on developing other colors of kelp dye that won't wash away in the salt water.
